The Point of View staff consists of:

Bishakha Datta, a non-fiction writer and documentary filmmaker with an abiding interest in women's rights, sexuality, and marginal points of view. Bishakha, who has a master's in communication from Stanford University, has been the programme director of Point of View since its inception.


Mamta Matani is the vibrant Accounts Executive who has finalised accounts for the financial year 2004-2005 for POV. She has an interest in listening to Indian music, cooking, reading novels and watching films.



A rural management professional by training, Rukmini Datta combines her interest in rural development with that in communication and media at Point of View. In the past she has worked with rural and tribal communities in south Rajasthan and has edited the monthly, social development magazine Humanscape.


Abhishikta completed her post graduation from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in 2006. She has worked with rural and urban communities on development and civic issues. Abhishikta is interested in development communications and peace and conflict resolution. Her other interests include photography and film. She also loves travelling, reading and writing.


With a masters degree in social work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, Prathiksha Rao has worked for two years with the Azim Premji Foundation with rural government schools. She is now working at Point of View on a pilot project to prevent domestic violence in an urban slum community. Her interests include reading, theatre and films.


Holding a post-graduate diploma in psychotherapy & counselling Ida J.D’Sa joined Point of View as administrative officer after working in a reputed organization for many years. She spends her free time in counselling people. Her hobbies are music, reading and travelling.


Debolina Dutta is Research Associate with POV on the DMSC project in Kolkata. She is a human rights lawyer and has previously worked on issues of gender-based violence and sexuality. She is also a trainer in human rights education and has conducted legal awareness workshops with young people, sex workers and their children. She loves to travel, watch Bollywood cinema, and make friends.


Vijay Kuril, the only male employee of Point of View. Vijay, a father of two, has been an administrative assistant at the organization since its inception.
